Actually Going to Class for a Specific Course?
How 20th Century.
The article Actually Going to Class for a Specific Course? How 20th Century. explains how technology is changing how the average college class is held and how students do not even have to show up to class. It is hard for me to relate to this article because I have never had a class that was not mandatory, but I have witnessed friends go through these classes. They said they did not learn anything from that class, and just like the article says, they cram for a test and then quickly forget the material. The changes going towards more active classes excites me. I don't think anyone finds it appealing to go to a lecture class at 8 a.m., let alone actually learn all that was said by your professor. I have experienced that I do most of my best learning through actively doing a project , rather than sitting in a lecture class. The idea of making college more of a internship type of learning I think will make students obtain more knowledge about the subject and keep students in the class room. Overall the changes that I am experiencing are good and I believe making a positive impact on education.
